Brief information

The Sixth Wholesale Power Market Generating Company JSC (JSC "OGK-6") was founded on March 16, 2005 by the order of RAO United Energy Systems (UES) within the framework of the Russian energy sector reform, which encompassed the creation of wholesale generating companies on the basis of major power stations belonging to RAO UES of Russia.

The core businesses of JSC "OGK-6" are electricity and heat generation and their supply&sales to consumers. The primary market for sales of the products of the Company’s subsidiaries is the wholesale electric power (capacity) market.

The total volume of electric power sales for 2009 was 33,998 million kWh. The capacity sales in 2009 reached

9,093 MW, or 0.6 % more than in 2008.

Electric power generation by OGK-6 plants was 28,953 million kWh in 2009.

In 2009 JSC “OGK-6” heat sales were 4,170 thousand Gcal.

The Company Revenues (International Financial Accounting Standards) in 2009 amounted to 41,870,322 thousand RUR or 1,384,408 thousand USD.

Net profit - 2,442,258 thousand RUR or 173,432 thousand USD.

Profit per share - 0.087 RUR or 0.003 USD .

 

The total electric installed capacity of JSC “OGK-6” plants amounts to 9,162 MW. This renders JSC “OGK-6” the fourth largest company by installed capacity size among all OGKs and TGKs created as a result of the reform of electric power industry in Russia. The total installed heat of JSC “OGK-6” plants amounts to 2,704 Gcal/hr.

"Ryazanskaya GRES" - 3070 MW;
"Novocherkasskaya GRES" - 2112 MW;
"Kirishskaya GRES" - 2100 MW;
"Krasnoyarskaya GRES-2" - 1250 MW;
"Cherepovetskaya GRES" - 630 MW;
